Leisure
Our goal is to offer you activities such as Yoga, that will bring better
flexibility of the muscles and greater conscience of your breathing, possibilities
to paint, play music, among others things that can come up with the relaxed
climate of the beach.
Busca Vida beach is excellent to make a fire at night, to look at the
stars and to have fun with extremely healthy moments. It is possible,
on a night of full moon and low tide, to witness the turtles laying their
eggs on the seashore. Besides all this there's also a great advantage,
Salvador e very close. And there's no doubt that you will get to know
this beautiful city. You will perceive why it's the land of the dance
and the music. Several rhythms, such as: axé, forró and
samba, for example, will make your trip even more unforgettable.
THE SURF

Climate
Salvador and its North Coast, in the typical Brazilian Northeast Tropical
Climate, has a hot climate throughout the year.
On the months of November until March, the temperatures are the hottest
of the year, oscillating around 26° C to 34° C.
From March to July, the weather is more stable and the temperatures vary
from 22° C to 30° C.
July to October, the rain is more frequent and the weather becomes a little
colder. In these occasions, the thermometers do not exceed the 28°
C, although it rarely reaches the 19° C.
Surf
For surfers, the months of April until August are the best ones to catch
well formed and strong waves. However in several surfspots in the region
we also have, at this time, smaller waves ideal for beginners.
The water in Busca Vida and region is hot throughout the year. The adequate
clothing to surf is a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.
Surfspots close to the camp
- Busca Vida (Search for Life): beach begins right after the exit
of Rio Joanes (Joanes River). To the Camp and the main spot in Busca Vida
its about 3 km by the beach. The best wave is on a reef break that
receives good rights and lefts, mainly with the South swell. Before that
there are several beach breaks with good formation that break better with
East and Southeast swell, from 2 feet up.
In these beach break spots with South swell the waves close in too much.
Neighborhood: Bairro de Abrantes (The Camaçari neighborhood starts)Jardim
de Alah (Alah's Garden): Good form right hand waves in front of Jardim
de Alah. Place where people walk, jog and do physical activities in the
city's margin. 2 feet is already surfable.
Psiu: Spot with beach break and bowled (well dug) waves to both sides.
They break with good constancy, from 3 feet up.
- Armação (Structure): Beach break in front of Shopping
Aeroclube. Neighborhood: Armação
- Pescador (Fisherman): Next to Armação spot, Pescador
(Fisherman) is a bowled (well dug) left hand wave with a mixed seabed.
All of theses spots are good from 2 feet of undulation up.
- Corsário (Pirate): Good form right and left hand waves.
Mixed seabed. Good with South and Southeast swell, from 2 feet up.
- 3°a ponte (3rd Bridge): Right and left hand waves next to
Rio Jaguaribes exit on the beach break from 2 feet up. Reef break
in the outside that breaks constantly with undulation above 4 feet.
- Sesc: Good beach break with varied spots scattered over the beach.
From 2 feet up.
- Sereia (Mermaid): Beach break next to Sereia de Itapuã
(Itapuãs Mermaid), where it only breaks with
a swell storm. When the swell is 6 feet, it breaks perfect 2 feet there.
- Pedra que Ronca (Rock that Snores): Huge left hand wave with
reef break that breaks beside a giant rock way in the outside in Itapuã.
One of the best spots with giant East and Southeast swells. Waves
break up to 10 feet.
- Farol de Itapuã (Itapuãs Lighthouse): Good
and tubular left hand wave next to Farol de Itapuã (Itapuãs
Lighthouse). Also breaks big with Southeast swell above 4 feet.
- Musa Point: Right hand waves with reef break. North of Farol
de Itapuã (Itapuãs Lighthouse). Its sort of
unstable, however good waves break with perfect South swell.
- Pedra do Sal (Salty Rock): Right and left hand wave with a mixed
seabed right on the inside. Breaks great from 3 feet up.
- Cepper: Reef break with very good lefts with Southeast and East
swell, from 3 feet up. On the same beach there are rights that are great
with South swell. However, its way on the inside and on the beach
break.
- Secret: Reef break that breaks good rights with South swells.
Good from 3 feet up.
- Corrente (Chain): Rights and lefts with a mixed seabed. Very
good with Southeast and South swell. From 2 feet up.

THE LOCATION
The camp
30 kilometers from Salvador, Busca Vida beach is part of the condominium
Busca Vida, one-time a farm, disputed for its natural beauty, peacefulness
and privacy in front of the sea. Besides being a natural reserve, the
access to the Condominium is restricted to owners and guests, and the
beach with about 7 kilometers of extension, plus six different beach and
point breaks, is entirely disposed to the Student / Visitor.
There aren't any supermarkets or grocery stores inside the Condominium,
however all the support needed will be offered to the Student in the Camp,
including eventual shopping in surrounding markets, distant about 15 minutes
by car.
Salvador & Northcoast
One of the oldest cities in Brazil, Salvador is beautiful for its exuberance.
It was the first Capital of Brazil for its beauty and strategic place.
At the time of the slavery, most of the slaves set on shore in the Port
of Salvador. For this reason there is a great concentration of the black
culture and population in the city, being considered as the Brazilian
Jamaica.
It is nationally known for having the greatest number of point breaks
and beach breaks per km, with uncountable options inside and outside the
city. The crowd tends to spread along the coast, so surfing becomes even
more peaceful.
Beyond the wonderful and world-wide known tourist points such as Pelourinho
and Baia de Todos os Santos (All Saints Bay), you it will be able to witness
and to enjoy Bahias typical dance and culture.
