Part of the West Indies, this Caribbean island is a piece of France under the tropics. Shaped as a butterfly, La Guadeloupe is formed by two connected islands, Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre. La Guadeloupe swarms with good breaks as it receives a large range of swells generated in turn by the Northern Atlantic depressions, tropical cyclones and Trade Winds. Located in St. François (Grande-Terre), the Surfcamp offers first class accommodation, guided surf tours, surf and kitesurf courses. Animated parties and spicy Creole cuisine at the house, while St. François, with its nightlife, restaurants, marina and golf course is a short walk away. A fabulous surf destination under the tropics, with French flair, European standards and warm waters all year ! |

CAMP

Surf House
The surfhouse is next to the beach and a 10 min. walk from St. François. The Surfhouse is formed by two large bungalows of 4 rooms each, one with bar and restaurant and the other with lounge, video and internet. Eight bright and comfortable rooms with 3 beds each, roof fan and full bathroom. Self catering kitchen and barbecue. Spicy Creole cuisine and animated parties at the bar !
THE SURF

Surf
All day surf school for beginners and intermediates. Instructors licenced by the French Surf Federation. Surfaris for the accomplished surfers to the best spots of the island with experienced local guide.
La Guadeloupe and Grande-Terre in particular swarms with good breaks. Its orientation facing the open Atlantic enables it to receive swells from all directions, from the North Atlantic depressions (winter) to cyclonic depressions (summer) and the swell generated by the trade winds (winter). There is a long, gentle and regular right hander at Vieux Port, ideal for beginners and a 5 minute walk from the Surfhouse.
Kitesurf
Kite school for all levels. Licensed instructors by the French Kitesurf Federation. The well established Trade Winds that blow regularly from November to June, the protected lagoons and warm water make La Guadeloupe a privileged spot for kite surfing.
