THE BOAT

One of the most luxurious, purpose built surf charter boat in the Maldives. 110 feet of unparalleled facilities for both surfers and non surfers alike. Experienced crew including surf/diver guides, masseuse and top level chef. The main lounge has huge plasma screen to view your day’s surfing filmed by the staff. Spacious aft area on the main deck for buffet breakfast, lunch, gourmet dinner or sipping a cool drink.

Surf Spots
The Maldives experience a similar surf season to Indonesia. The best waves are from March to October, with the biggest swells between June and August. During these months the conditions are predominantly offshore and the swell is mainly South/South East, with a surf ranging between 2 and 8 feet.
There is a great variety of world class breaks ranging from mellow walls to hollow pits. The surfing region cruised covers Male’s North and South Atolls. It includes the famous left in front of Lohifushi Resort, venue of the WQS “Deep Blue Open” for the past 3 years.

Sunday: Pick up Male airport, transfer to the boat, welcome drink and dinner on board

Sunday: Morning surf session, lunch, transfer to 52 ft. boat, afternoon surf session, light dinner and delivery to Male airport

THE LOCATION



The Maldives
An Islamic republic, the Maldives stretch c.500 mi (800 km) from north to south in the North Indian Ocean, SW of Sri Lanka. They consist of about 25 atolls made up of some 1200 coral islands, of which 200 are inhabited. No more than a couple of metres above sea level, these tiny atolls are covered by lush tropical vegetation, mailnly coconut trees, and surrounded by shallow lagoons encircled by protective coral reefs, where the swell breaks.

Climate
Tropical, with fine weather throughout the year except for the monsoon periods. The worst months are June and July, although the sun is still very much present alternating with the occasional tropical storms.
