El SURF HOUSE

The atmospheric surfhouse is a traditional Portuguese country house in the middle of Alentejo Nature Park. There is very few houses here and it is the closest house to the beach of Vale Figueiras, one of the best beach breaks of Portugal !!! The house can take up to 30 people. It has satellite TV, DVD to watch movies and surf videos, internet access, ping pong and wood stove which makes it very cosy on cool winter nights. Outdoor, there is a basketball ost and volleyball net as well.

Breakfast is at the house. Lunch bags at the beach, and dinner at local restaurants or at home. The house has its kitchen garden and hoven to make bread, garlic bread, pizzas, etc. and the instructors often go fishing and in the water for Perçeves, so get ready for tasty dinners!!! Bicycles available to discover the area.

You will have surf course in the morning. Then lunch under the shades of the umbrellas. And a final surf after that to call it a day. Back home, shower, relax, dinner, and get ready cause Russo, Chepa and Segrera (the instructors who live in the house) like to party !!! Sagres or Lagos are usually the chosen spots. But if you wish, you can stay at the house, relax, watch TV and gather forces for the next day.

Surf Spots
The south-western Algarve is a surfing destination unrivaled anywhere in Europe and unique in the way that it will give you a genuine taste of surfing lifestyle. Wave size and quality range from average to epic, with an assortment of reefs and beach breaks. The beauty of this corner of the world is due to the variety of its waves, which will suit everyone's standards, and their constancy throughout the year - good waves break year round. Waves break both on the Southern and Western coasts, always providing a surfing alternative according to the swell and within a maximum thirty minute drive. The surf itself is surrounded by wide and breathtaking scenery, with steep reddish cliffs, wide sandy beaches and no real estate developments or seaside resorts in sight. The whole area is protected and forms part of the natural park. The access to the beaches is by dirt tracks twisting through a spectacular scenery.
