The Wake, Kite, Surf Algarve Camp is located in the peacefull area of Vale da Telha, Aljezur at only 5 minutes to the legendary surf-spots of Arrifana and Monte Clerigo, so you will be already in the water catching waves while the other surfers and surf-schools from Lagos and Portimao are even on their way to the beach. It is aswell close from the exiting and now famous night life of Lagos.
This new Camp is specialized in boardsport on water and offers both surf, wake and kitesurf packages including accommodation and courses for all levels. With highly qualified, professional, multi-lingual and friendly watersport-instructors, newest equipment and a spacious Surfhouse, the only thing you have to bring is the ambition to have fun in the water.

THE CAMP
The camp offers room for 12 person with the choice of staying in a double or dorm rooms. A day in the surf-camp starts with a healthy breakfast, for the rest of the day the guest are free to use our big, well equipped kitchen to fix their own meals or to visit one of the nearby restaurants and bars for some great portuguese cusine.
After the day in the water the campers are chilling on the sundeck and hammocks, have a match of beach-volleyball on the field behind the surf-house or fire up the grill for a nice relaxed BBQ. In the lounge it is possible to check emails and surf the net through wi-fi or watch the latest surf-films and movies on the video-projector.
For the die-hard sport enthusiast the camp offers a mountainbike-rental, horse riding and rock climbing.
The staff of Wake, Kite, Surf Algarve consists of experienced and well trained watersport-instructors with a great knowledge of the local conditions. They are certified by the British Surfing Association (BSA) and VDWS/IKO (International Kiteboarding Organisation) providing top-notch tuition for surfing, kiteboarding and wakeboarding in English, German and Portuguese.
The customers of the camp have a great choice of new equipment from leading brands, like NSP, Bic, O´Neill, Prolimit, Cabrinha, Best Kiteboarding, O´Brien and Liquid Force. For the wakeboarding they use the legendary Mastercraft X-Star, the official tow-boat of the X-Games. The wake of this boat is hudge, you can even surf it!
THE SURF
The Algarve is known to be a great spot for surfing. The swell window wider than 180° allows finding waves at anytime during the year. Lots of great beach- and reefbreaks offer perfect conditions for beginners to pros. Less known is that the coastline also offers very good conditions for kiteboarding and wakeboarding.
The mornings are calm and glassy for surfing on the west coast or wakeboarding in the south, at noon the wind picks up excellent for kiteboarding. Beginners and Freestylers prefer the shallow lagoons, while the waveriders use the kite to ride the waves with sideshore wind.

THE LOCATION
Camp Location
The Wake, Kite, Surf Algarve Camp is located in Vale da Telha, Aljezur at only 5 minutes from Arrifana, one of the best and most beautiful surf spots at the Algarve. Monte Clerigo and Amoreira are also near by, allowing the BSA-certified staff to provide transport to the best working spot within a few minutes. For kite- and wakeboarding the camp-bus will take the guest to a calm and shallow lagoon at the south coast.
The Algarve
The Southwestern shore of Algarve is a wild and uncrowded stretch of coast yet minutes away from the famous resorts of Lagos and Sagres. with plenty of nightlife. The Western coast is one of the major surfing destinations for serious surfers from around the globe as the long Atlantic rollers sweeping onto the west coast beaches offer ideal surfing conditions. Waves break both on the Southern and Western coasts, always providing a surfing alternative according to the swell and within a maximum thirty minute drive. The Algarve is also the warmest place in Portugal and the most touristic one, with plenty of night live and attractions. It is a surfing destination unrivaled anywhere in Europe and unique in the way that it will give you a genuine taste of surfing lifestyle.
Climate
Atlantic/Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers. Due to its exposure on a peninsula, the region enjoys excellent swell and wind conditions year round for the practice of surf or kitesurf
THE TRIP
Faro airport (110 km.) and Lisboa Airport (270 km) are the closest airports.
Faro is the destination of many low priced charter-airlines.

Other possibilities are the flight to Sevilla or Jerez (Spain).
Free transfer From and to Lagos train and bus station. You only have to inform us of you arrival times.
The trip from Faro to Lagos by bus (5¤) takes about 2h and by train (6¤) about 1,5h.
A taxi from faro to lagos is about 80¤
From Lisboa it is also possible to go by bus (14¤) or by train (24¤) to Lagos.
