The Luz surfcamp is situated in the renowned seaside resort of Lagos, on the southern coast of the Algarve, just east of Sagres. The camp was founded in 1993 and has been stylishly developed into a combination of surfing and partying. The owner's son, Marlon Lipke, is the European Pro Junior Champion 2004 and 3rd in the World Pro Junior 2004 ranking. The Surfhouse offers great villa accommodation 5 minutes from downtown Lagos, with double rooms with private bathrooms, garden with swimming pool and social area with bar, pool and satellite TV. The camp offers tuition for beginners and guided tours for experienced surfers to the best spots in the area.

Surf Spots
The south-western Algarve is a surfing destination unrivaled anywhere in Europe and unique in the way that it will give you a genuine taste of surfing lifestyle. Wave size and quality range from average to epic, with an assortment of reefs and beach breaks. The beauty of this corner of the world is due to the variety of its waves, which will suit everyone's standards, and their constancy throughout the year - good waves break year round. Waves break both on the Southern and Western coasts, always providing a surfing alternative according to the swell and within a maximum thirty minute drive. The surf itself is surrounded by wide and breathtaking scenery, with steep reddish cliffs, wide sandy beaches and no real estate developments or seaside resorts in sight. The whole area is protected and forms part of the natural park. The access to the beaches is by dirt tracks twisting through a spectacular scenery.

La vida en el Algarve no se limita al Surf y hay cantidad de actividades alternativas en THE LOCATION. Podrás practicar el windsurf, kitesurf, wakeboard, vela, pesca en alta mar, buceo, mountain bike, paseos a caballo y por la noche, aprovechar la marcha de Lagos, la capital turística del Algarve. Lagos tiene innumerables cafés, bares, terrazas, restaurantes y discotecas. Parada obligatoria en el Red Eye, Eddie's Bar, 3 Monkeys y música en vivo en Bahía Beach, en Meia Praia. La comida es excelente, barata y especializada en pescado fresco, acompañado con buen vino y cervezas Portuguesas - "Sagres" no solo es el nombre de una ciudad turística portuguesa, pero también una famosa marca de cerveza local ! El Algarve es la región más al sur de Portugal, y se extiende a lo largo del Océano Atlántico desde la frontera Española hasta el Cabo San Vicente, el punto más al suroeste de Europa. Fue el último territorio Portugués reconquistado a los moros en 1292 y su presencia es todavía visible en la arquitectura de la región, con sus pintorescas casas blancas que contrastan con la tierra rojiza y el verde de la vegetación. Protegido del los fríos vientos del norte por la Sierra de Monchique y orientado a pleno sur, el Algarve disfruta de un clima privilegiado todo el año y de una tierra fértil, cubierta por naranjos, higueras y almendros. La costa sur se extiende a lo largo de una inmensa playa de arena fina, solo interrumpida por espectaculares acantilados rojizos. La costa oeste es la más salvaje y la mar más brava, con una sucesión de playas y calas solitarias, solo accesibles por pistas de tierra.
