INTRODUCTION
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SURFGUIDE - CHEF
This is the true surf resort. A Family Friendly hotel where you can go with your wife, husband, children or friends, with a proper point break just paddling distance only 200 metres from your room. Also ideal for team building and companies' incentive holidays.
There is a left hander, and another right hander a bit more mellow infront of the Restaurant. Your girlfriend can sun-tan in the swimming pool while literally watching you surf, or viceversa ;-). The food is delicious, western dishes and local exquisite cuisine. The resort also offers an amazing gym, Golf course, massage therapies, babysitters, full day boat trip excursions with fishing, spear-fishing, and snorkling gear, Internet, and many other activities. Other local waves you will surf will be Yoyos, Super Suck, Big Brother, Scar Reef, Little Bingin, Donuts, and a few other secret spots...
Our packages include all transport from Bali to the resort and back. We can also arrange a package with accommodation for a few nights in Bali if needed.

The Resort
Spend your days walking on endless miles of white sandy beaches, surfing within paddling distance of your room or simply relaxing by the pool or enjoying our other facilities which include a fully equipped gymnasium, massage, and beauty centre or a 9-hole golf course. Besides surfing you may also snorkel or charter a boat for deep sea fishing.
All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, AC and Satellite TV (Star Movies, Sports, etc).
Beach front Family Villas inside the resort complex (2 bedrooms, kitchen and living room) with private swimming pool and garden. Flat Screen Tvs, new kitchens, furniture and newly refurbished toilets.
THE RESTAURANT
Our restaurant offers a wide variety of Western and local dishes.
The kitchen staff they carefully prepare: Mexican Fajitas, Japanese food, Veggies, Pastas, Hamburguers, grilled fish, Green Curry, Pizzas, delicious deserts etc etc Kids and vegetarian menu also available on demand. Freshly squeezed juices from our own garden. Our friendly staff is also opened to any special requests you may have like birthday cakes, etc. All our breads, Samosas, Nachos, Spring Rolls are homemade.

THE GOLF COURSE
A 9 hole golf course only 2 kms from the resort, in very good condition. Monkeys and other animals can be seen while playing. The Caddies are very helpful and will suggest Golfers which club to use for each hole. All equipment rental is included.
The Surf
Infront of the resort's Restaurant we have Tropical Left, a long ripable left hand pointbreak with waves breaking lonely day after day.
There is also a right hand point on the other side of the channel. Fast at the takeoff and then breaks slowly into deep water channel. Perfect for beginners to sit wide on the shoulder.
If you get bored and lonely of surfing a perfect left, the surfguides will take you to Yoyos or other local waves like Super Suck, Big Brother, Scar Reef, Little Bingin, Donuts, and a few other secret spots...
Yoyos picks up a lot of swell. Its a fun right hander good for all levels.
Super Suck needs a bit more swell than other waves to break. Very good, extremely long rides!!!
Scar reef is a good left hander. There is another smaller super fun wave right next to it called little Bingin. Breaks left and right.

This part of Sumbawa gets great surf 12 months a year!!!
The months from June to August get the biggest swells and are perfect for SuperSuck and Scar Reef blowing offshore winds all day long. The in between seasons of Sep-Nov and March-May can be the best for our front-yard Tropical left and right, with glassy conditions every morning and only light winds some afternoons. Although Christmas , Jan and Feb can also be insane!
OTHER WAVES IN THE AREA (Yoyos, Super Suck, Scar Reef...)
FISHING and SPEAR FISHING
There is very good Fishing and spearfishing all year long. The season for Giant Trevally is from October to May. August and September are very good months for Trolling for Marlin. We have some fishing rods, spearguns, and snorkling equipment free of use for our guests although we suggest to bring your own to avoid disspointment or limited material for all guests.
We try to offer all our guests one free Boat trip per week.
From 10 am until Sunset if the weather conditions allow it.
The Boat can fit 6 people comfortable. Has a sun shade, Two 40 HP engines, and fish radar.
We will pass by Yoyos, Super Suck, Big Brother, Scar Reef, Little Bingin, and Donuts, so make sure you bring your surfboards along...
Includes our friendly guide Indra. Spear-fishing, snorkling, and fishing gear. Drink Box with water and fruit.

This truly exotic accommodation is located on a secluded beach on the south west corner of Sumbawa near to Maluk, about 45 minutes away from Lombok. Only minutes away from Yo-Yo's, Scar Reef, Super Suck and other world renowned surfing spots.
Also inside the area of The Resort complex, and next to our private Airstrip runway, is a huge plantation of Dragon Fruit , Aloe Vera, and Banana that you can visit with our guide.
Getting to the Resort
You just need to buy the plane ticket from your country to Bali.
TRANSPORT FROM BALI TO THE RESORT INCLUDED:
Only available if booking through our hotel well inadvance.
THE NORMAL WAY ON SUNDAYS (through Lombok)
This is included in the price of all our packages.
Flights from Bali to New airport Lombok, Minibus Drive from Lombok Airport to Port and Private speed boat from Lombok to Sumbawa.
Large groups or clients with large boardbags or Longboards must drop off theirboards in a meeting point in Bali the day before and we will transport them by land to avoid dissapointments (boards getting left behind due to small aircrafts)
The flight usually leaves from Bali on sunday morning at 9:40 AM. It's a 35 minute flight to Lombok. You need to get yourself to the Domestic Terminal of Denpasar airport at least one hour before departure. They charge 25 USD per board bag.
Our driver will be waiting for you at Arrivals of Lombok Airport and will drive you (2 hr) in our comfortable minibus with AC to the port where the private speedboat will take you (75 min) to Sumbawa. This is not a regular public ferry. It's a private fast boat. The port in Sumbawa is only 30 minute drive to from our Resort. Everything is organized. You will arrive at the resort around 3:00 pm in time for surfing.
THE WAY BACK: On the way back you will leave Sumbawa at midday (unless conditions force to take earlier boat) and do the same trip back and will arrive to Bali at 19.30 pm. The way back we fly with Garuda and there is no problems with the boards as the aircrafts are bigger.
* Ferries and flights are services we help organize to take guests to the Resort. We try to make it as comfortable and fast as possible to bring guests to this remote area of West Sumbawa. We are not responsible for any changes on the schedule due to weather or technical problems not under our control. We are not responsable for loss, damage, or delay of Surfboard bags. If boards get left behind Nomad Resorts will organize everything to get the boards to the resort. Extra costs to be paid by the guest.
ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE on SUNDAYS
We recommend NOT to book your international flights into Bali on the same day of arriving to the Resort. We suggest you sleep in Bali the night before arriving to the resort. Arrival and departures are also available on differnt days of the week ask us for information.

We were taken to all of the great surf spots at exactly the right times to get optimum tides, wind & sweet sweet waves. The local knowledge and attention to the guests requests were second to none.

had off the beautiful "Iron Woman" Nancy. Leyna,Eka,Amel,Cisca,Sunny and

Surf was good, weather was great, food was fantastic, incredible scenery and Guy Morgan at the resort was a wonderful host. He looked after us very well and was always accommodating when we wanted to do something. He very much made the trip for us; my son thinks of him as his big brother now.

Hi Jose,
I would like to let you know that my family & I had an excellent time in Sumbawa staying at the Nomad Tropical Resort. It was the highlight of our three week holiday in Indonesia.
The laid back & relaxing atmosphere at the Resort was just what’s required for a holiday. The all inclusive package for accommodation, meals, resort facilities & surf guides was excellent. Unlike some other places you may stay where you feel you are always reaching for your wallet.
The Tropical team were excellent hosts to the entire family from Danny White’s three year old daughter, to the elders of the group, Danny, Janelle, Tracey & I, in our forties. I would also like to highlight the top job completed by our main hosts Guy & Indra. Their interaction with everyone and willingness to tailor the Sumbawa experience to meet individuals needs was first class.
To maintain the resorts personal and relaxing feeling, which will attract repeat customers, I recommend that the Tropicals surf break continue to maintain a low profile. If it were to get more crowded like Yo Yos & Super Suck the experience would not be so special. For example, a real highlight was surfing with my three sons & good friends at Tropicals without excessive crowds souring the experience.

Hey Guy,
Just wanted to thank you for making our trip a memorable one. I know it can be tough baby sitting guys about to hit 50. We were very impressed with the set up especially the food. Tell Jai he is doing a great job. 13 trips to indo & thats the first time I did not even get the pac men in my gut.
Would love to come back and tackle the surf when I am 100% fit & healthy. Though I think I am too old too tackle those barrels at Super suck! I should be happy..My eye was a major concern when I came on the trip. I Wasn`t sure if I was going to be able to surf at all. Though I took it super easy, I still had some fun & got some good waves.
Robs leg seems to be healing well. Luckily we got some photos of him on the first day.
Good luck with the staff.

Just a note to say a great big thanks for the wonderful time we had in Sumbawa. We were so thrilled with the relaxing time and especially the awesome service from Guy, Jai and the staff. Alisha is still wearing her bracelet and retelling stories about the resort... the crazy guys... excellent donuts and bumpy drives to secret locations. We have been in touch with the Shepherd family who were also more than thrilled with their holiday, it was a really unexpected great match of families and we hope that we will see you again on another one of our adventures.

Great to meet the boys (jai guy and indra) treated us like kings, lots of

The Nomad tropical hotel is one of the best resorts iv been too
It mellow fun and you can surf all day....you have the left out front Yo yos down the road and super sucks close by....I you want to have a fun uncrowded surf trip with a variety of waves this is the place to go !!

Firstly, we would like to thank Peter Drojun for leading us to the ad in
tracks magazine. If Travis wasn’t interested in transgender surfers we
wouldn’t have seen the ad. Upon arrival we were instantly stoked with our
digs and very welcoming and keen to get us in the waves, its great to have
a surf guide keen for waves
All round super friendly and great service delicious healthy food too had a fantastic time
*waves were fucking pumping
*food was rad cheers JAI legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*the Russian (A Ks) are dangerous
* there were bitches in bikinis
* we swear she was a woman at least she had 3 teeth even though they were black

Nomad Tropical Resort was beautiful! Remotely situated in Sumbawa, right on the beach with a great lefthander reef right out the front with ripable sections all the way to the channel. Classy accomodation, all meals catered for and plenty of bintangs to be had! Other activities included snokeling and speer fishing on the reef out the front, pool and bar setup, climbing the giant mountain beside the resort or just chillin' watching the waves under the bungalows! Loved it here! No crowds and great place to surf and relax, friendly staff looking after their guests! It was a hard place to leave! I will be going back for sure!

The Nomad Tropical Resort is awesome, big thanks to Guy ,Jai ,Indra for

Never trust a fart they say and Indra can vouch for that ahahahahaha scored

Wow I did not think staying at tropical could get any better but it did.
This time the resort added the missing link and brought an experienced surf
guide on board. This was my third stay here and by far the best. Guy and
the staff were always available to help make our trip for the magazine as
smooth and productive as possible. Guy and Indra were there to answer all
our questions and the fresh fish bbq caught by Indra and prepared by Guy
and the kitchen staff was the best meal I have had in Indonesia. Cheers to
all the Nomad Tropical staff for making our trip an epic success. Oh ,and
karaoke in Maluk was also a night to remember.

I did a surf trip to bali many years ago, and this by far outweighed that.
The surf was awesome(no barrels though this time) the crowds were light and
the resort staff amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the bar always had
cold beer. I loved the food and the service that the workers provided, not
to mention the incredible security. Boards were left out all night and they
would always be there in the morning. I cant wait to go back hopefully in
the next few months to meet up with Indra, Uni and Saska again and
hopefully get that barrel. Great times!!!!

Surf camp como pocos!El sitio es alucinante, enclavado en medio de un escenario natural dificil de describir, podras surfear totalmente solo justo enfrente del resort...
En 15 minutos tienes olas realmente buenas, algunas de ellas world class...Si quieres perderte en la soledad y surfear buenas olas no dejes de conocer este resort...Gimnasio de primera, golf, aventura...para aquellos que buscan aventura y relax...Una experiencia inolvidable...espero volver...

This was the most memorable surf trip I have been on. Every day I was there
the waves out the front were cracking and uncrowded. The white sand and
snorkeling were exceptional. Access to cars and surf guide Indra for surf
check ;Scar reef ,Super sucks and Yoyo,s were great. Activities
ie;Golf,gym,pool,fihing and waterfall were all top notch. All 3 meal a day
are A1. Thanks to all staff at resort and Nomads hope to see u all again

Zoragarria, fantastico, wonderfull, marveilleux ... Sería demasiado
egoista guardar en secreto este paraiso del surf, golf, relax, playas
paradisíacas y buena gente, con mención especial para el surf guide
Indra, un auténtico Mc. Guiver, con recursos para todo y un espiritu
inigualable. Gracias Jose por habernos procurado unos de los días más
inolvidables de nuestras vidas, continúa con este proyecto porque estás

Alltime ...i've been around bali and other parts of indonesia 6 times i
even got married in bali ive now found a new indonesian home in the nomad
camp in sumbawa. The location is set in a remote part of Sumbawa so the
crowds are non existent there are a number of world class waves in a short
distance if the left and right out the front aren't working although in
front of the resort worked every day i was there. For 2 weeks and i surfed
with my mate everyday out the front and it was rare to see other people out
there....the snorkelling out the front is spectacular its abound with
tropical fish...The surf guide indra and his friend katherine there made my
trip even more memorable with his hospitality and genuine kindness and
generosity he is definitely a friend for life and i cant wait to take my
wife back to nomad surf camp so i can surf all day and she can relax and
get massages and enjoy the tranquillity that this part of indonesia has to
offer...The resort is classy and has a huge gym and pool looking over the
surf break....there is a very good golf course 2 minute away from the the
resort and you get to play with monkeys on about the 7th hole. drinking
cold beers being handed to you by your own caddie and playing golf with
friends and monkeys makes for a memorable golf game. The food at the resort
was excellent ranging from imported australian angus steak all the way to
mexican food to local indonesian food.ive been to allot of surf camps
around the world and this is easily the best due to the uncrowded waves
jungle excellent snorkelling great golf course wide range of food and top
shelf accommodation and staff.

epic, empty perfection. can't ask for anything more but a younger set of
shoulders so I could get more of the empty waves instead of watching them
peel off unridden
