In the famous seaside resort of Biarritz on the French Basque Coast, this surf camp is a perfect choice for those who wish to discover, practice or improve their surf. The surfhouse is a charming loft house extending around an inner courtyard with wooden decked terrace.
Comfortable accommodation caters for fifteen persons in double and quadruple rooms, each with its own bathroom. There is also a cosy lounge with surf videos and magazines where to hang around in the evening and watch the video analysis of the day. The surf school includes two daily sessions, morning and afternoon. The Intensive Surfcamp is full board and includes lessons, material and transfers.
The Camp
Surf House
The surfhouse is a loft house extending around an inner courtyard with a wooden decked terrace. It is ideally located 200 metres from the beach and the town centre. 15 persons maximum per week. Accommodation in rooms of 2/4 persons, each one with its own bathroom. Full board from Sunday dinner to Saturday breakfast.
Monday to Friday surfcamp:
Breakfast at the surfhouse, transfer to the beach for the morning surf session, lunch at the beach, second surf session in the afternoon, back to the surfhouse for tea and free time till dinner. Evening at the surfhouse watching surf videos, reading surf magazines or chatting with friends in the lounge or on the terrace in season.
The Surf
Surf School
The school is labelled as an official surf school by the French Surf Federation.
Maximum 8 Students per monitor.
Two daily surf session, morning and afternoon, of 1:30 H each.
Material (surfboard & wetsuits) provided.
Transfers from the surfhouse to the beach.
All monitors with official trainer and lifeguard licences.
All sessions are video taped and analysed on the same evening at the surfhouse.
Surf Spots
There are several world class surf spots on the Basque Coast, the craddle of surf in Europe. The most famous ones are Biarritz & Anglet beach breaks, Lafiténia point break and Guéthary reef break. The world famous spots of Hossegor, venue of many surf contests such as the Quicksilver Pro and Rip Curl Pro, are but a half an hour drive north of town on the Silver Coast.
